Help! My Garden Is Invaded

I must admit that I really do not have green fingers. Normally, whatever that I planted will not grow healthily. Recently, I have planted a few okras and chilly padi. And I faced these problems:
~ the leaves of the okras plant seems to be eaten by something.
~ the same goes for the chilly padi plant. As you can see from the pictures, the leaves from the sprigs are almost gone.
~ the chilly padi newly grown leaves are wrinkled. No idea how it happen.
~ after the flowers of chilly padi had dropped, the bud of the fruit will become yellowish and dropped soon after.
~ this morning I noticed that are a lot of transparent little eggs under the okras plant leaves. I think that must be the grasshopper's eggs because I saw some little green grasshoppers underneath the leaves.
I did not see any caterpillars, so the culprit must be the grasshopper. But previously, there were a lot of ants eating my chilly padi plant. Then I sprayed water mixed with some pepper to get rid of them. I think it works cause I don't see any ants now.
Can anyone tell me how to deal with this eggs and grasshoppers? I really do not want to use pesticide for the vege.
